Joss Whedon and George R. R. Martin walk into a bar. Everybody you love dies,
Then Steven Moffat walks in. Everybody comes back to life without explanation, re-affirms their heterosexuality, flirts with the main character and the feminist movement is set back 50 years
we should stop putting our mbti types in our abouts and use our seme/uke types as seen by semeuke.com
like does it matter if ur an esfj or istp when no one has any idea if you might be a chibi seme or a flaming uke
I’m calling this crap out. How is this a fair standard to hold people to? Counselors are licensed professionals who spend years studying psychology, not kids online trying to maintain positive attitudes, often against REALLY difficult circumstances. How are sad teens supposed to know how to approach this kind of thing?
Maybe this is just a joke but it’s tiring watching grown-ass adults complain about kids trying to look out for each other. Cringe all you want but grow up about it and keep your petty grouchiness to yourselves
Friends who reblogged this - you can do better
i have surrender stuck in my head, but not the whole song or even the whole chorus just “surrender. SURRENDER” and then “eeeeeeyyyyyy” like the middle part keeps getting skipped over
okay so, i’ve been going through few radfems’ blogs and they keep talking about how they’re “gender critical” and “trans critical” because “most trans people dress stereotypically feminine/masculine” and how trans women are that way misogynist
and i dont get that. i rly dont. most feminists dont want to gender makeup or skirts or nail polish etc., which makes it alright for especially little boys to use tutus and dress as princesses on halloween. little boys dressing in traditionally feminine ways doesnt really create any conversations. more like those boys and the parents that let their children dress in ways outside the gender norms are celebrated.
but the moment its a trans woman using traditionally feminine clothes and colors to express her gender, it’s suddenly misogynist and gross?? which isnt even ???? how does that even make sense?
has it ever crossed your mind that they might just like the clothes, or, idk, that as they’ve grown up, theyve always been pushed towards the masculine stuff and if they express any interest in something that can be labeled as “masculine”, it can be used as something to disregard their gender?
i knew a trans man who was in such situation; he didnt DARE to put on anything even close to feminine or express any interest in anything feminine because his mother would jump the opportunity to tell him that he’s not a real boy and blah blah blah.
also, now that we’re talking about the constant oppression trans folks face in day-to-day life, do you people have ANY IDEA how important it is for especially a trans woman to pass as cis woman?
trans women are much more likely to get attacked/raped/murdered than trans men, and it’s a form of violence against women and what is strongly linked to womanhood - femininity. that’s why violence against trans women is called trans misogyny and why feminism should cover trans women too.
Its funny how gendercritical “feminists” awlays seem to target maab/camab/transfeminine people huh
Like, I understand where this argument stands in place for transmen, because a lot of transmen ARE gross and adopt mysognistic habits to “pass better” and “feel like real men” and get along with “other men” better. like, masculinity is a destructive concept and transmen have an extra responsibilty that by embracing their identity they aren’t throwing women under the fucking bus and i am ESPECIALLY side eyeing the fuck out of transmen that misgender themselves in order to throw TRANSWOMEN under the bus, ie, calling themselves “women raised” and “female bodied” in order to equate maab people with “raised as a man” and “male bodied”
They want to have that discusssion be my guest, but they never do, they want to pick on young defenslesss girls because they are gross misogynists period. they hate women PERIOD
